children and the Dukan diet?

Hi, my 11 year old daughter came to me recently wanting to lose weight as she has seen me lose it. Can children of her age do the Dukan diet? She was a typical kid, eating everything in sight and also buying chocolate, lollies and fried food, basically any rubbish kids (with their own money) eat. If she cuts out these things I think she will be able to lose weight but I would like to start her on the Dukan diet. Does anyone know if this is okay? Question

There is a section in the book from page 247 onward, covering children. For a child over 10, the consolidation phase is recommended. There is also a lot of advice on never bringing home foods with sugar or too much fat in them, and getting more exercise for children.

thanks again LInda. I think she has to be more aware of what she eats and buys. She does a fair bit of exersize though. Thanks so much

If you don't have the book, buy it. Dukan outlines modifications to the diet for children and teens.
