hello I am Mick

Post  mjkelly on Mon Apr 26, 2010 9:10 pm

Well I was in the Army for 23 years and left looking like a racing snake! Razz but over the last few years I keep putting on weight gradually going from a healthy 5' 6" 11st to a 13st 6lb blob. I ski, play golf dive walk the dog but it still piles on! But arthritis in my toes (too many hills with a heavy pack) stops me doing a lot of stuff like gym work and running.

So i am on attack day 4 lost 6lb already.

I am tired and irritable...other half says what new! Start my P/V in 2 days.

Hi Mick

You've seen a great result for 4 days on the Attack phase!

The tireness wears off (it did for me) small Dukan diet friendly snacks throughout the day may help keep the energy levels up.

Good luck!

Hi Mick!

That's a good start! Yes, the attack phase is not an easy one as you start to dream about vegetables after 2 or 3 days Laughing
But the most important in this attack phase is to stimulate your motivation, and no doubt it did!

Good luck with your diet and welcome Smile

hey Mick. I keep gaining weight too but I promise you it'll come off quickly again and then some! It's all part of it and I view it as darwin weeding out those who can't deal with it and give up hehe

Keep going and well done for not giving in!!

Weight will fluctuate while on the Dukan diet. That doesn't mean it's not working.

Avoid feeling down about it by only weighing yourself once a week.

Hi,

I used to have the same problem always getting stuck at the stone mark. I think part of this is psychological so what I did was worked out what my goal weight was in kgs and then just switched my scales over. Suddenly I was zipping past those invisible markers without even realising it. It sounds daft but it worked for me.

Sounds like you are doing really well.
Good Luck

I put on 1.5lbs and then lost a 1lb overnight so I am still 13st 0.5Lbs aaarrgghh.

Now I am in a hotel in Leipzig for 3 days and trying to explain to a German waiter that I want meat or fish no sauce, no spuds and no sauekraut is amusing Shocked ( i am a German speaker).

But I had a sauna, a jacuzzi, massage, swam 10 lengths and 10 mins on a step machine...now we will see. Laughing

Drank 2 ltrs this afternoon!

I amy ahve to give up PP for the next 3 days and go PV catching up when I return. pirat lol!
